Marukin is part of the Dancing In The Streets project - a story about Sokerissa - a homeless dance troupe in Tokyo. The images from the series connect the viewer not just with the emotional landscape of the dancers but also the physical landscape and atmosphere of East Tokyo - an area of relative deprivation in a city that is so often associated with affluence and comfort.
